I’m diving headfirst into DIY repairs and just swapped out an ignition coil on my 2008 Ford Focus—this whole experience has been a blast so far! But after putting it together, I noticed a slight misfire on one of the cylinders that’s been driving me nuts. Has anyone else encountered an intermittent misfire after replacing a coil? I double-checked all the connections and even swapped the coil with one from a different bank, and the misfire seems isolated to one side only.
Could this be an issue with wiring, sensor calibration, or even something funky with the ECU reading the new coil? I’d love to hear your tips or similar experiences. I’m still trying to piece together exactly what might be happening, and any pointers or troubleshooting ideas would really help fuel my next steps in learning DIY car repairs. Thanks a ton in advance!
