So I was messing around with my old Corolla’s AC this weekend, and I think I figured out why it wasn’t blowing cold-turns out the compressor clutch wasn’t engaging! After some digging, I jumpered the relay and the clutch kicked in. Does this mean my relay is bad, or could it be something like a pressure switch? Anybody else have luck fixing their AC by swapping out a simple relay instead of dropping cash on a shop visit? Super pumped that I might not need a whole new compressor! Anyone got tricks for tracking down the exact cause on these older Toyotas?
