So, I’m deep in the latest episode of “Let’s See What Happens When I DIY My Car Repair” and I’ve officially determined that my engine and I aren’t exactly best friends. My beloved ride now seems to suffer from an array of new issues that I’m pretty sure weren’t on the “check engine” message list before I got creative with duct tape and optimism.
Is it just the universe laughing at me, or did anyone else have a repair go so wrong that they ended up installing parts from every other model under the sun? Specifically, I tried to replace a fuse (because who needs electricity, right?) and now my car sounds like a malfunctioning sci-fi spaceship every time I hit the gas. Any advice on how to stop inviting additional complications, or should I just invest in a set of earplugs and a new hobby called “watching things burn”?
