I’ve experimented with plastic welding on bumpers a while back. What worked better for me was using a variable temperature heat gun so you can keep things controlled—avoid blasting too much heat at once. Also, sticking with auto-grade fillers rather than off-the-shelf ones has saved me from issues with weathering and UV damage. Just be sure you’re working in a well-ventilated area since the fumes can be a bit harsh.
