Hey everyone, I’m new to doing some basic car repairs and I’ve got a question about working under my car safely. I’ve been following some tutorials on changing brake pads and other basic maintenance, but I’m a bit worried about the best way to secure the car before I slide underneath it.
I already use a jack, but I’ve heard that jack stands are a must for safety. Does anyone have any tips on how to properly lift and secure the car? Are there any common mistakes that I should definitely avoid? Also, if you’ve got some guidance on checking the stability of your setup before getting under the car, I’d appreciate it.
Thanks a bunch for any advice!
